New lathe set to increase aerdisc® production.

It was an exciting day at Aeris Global yesterday when the covers came off a brand-new lathe.

The arrival of the new lathe at the Aeris Global manufacturing plant in Wanaka will increase production of the popular aerdisc® Directional Aerator.

The heavy-duty lathe weights over 8-tonne, has a swing over the bed of 660mm, measures 4-metres between centres, has infinity variable spindle speed and dual-axis digital readout. The machine was manufactured specifically to suit production of the new aerdisc® Gen-3 Torque Tube/Driveshaft assembly featuring investment cast stainless steel endcaps.

The lathe is scheduled to enter production in November.

The machine was supplied by Leabourn & Rose, www.leabourn-rose.co.nz in Auckland. Special thanks to Andrew Leabourn and Lisa Buckley for the exceptional service and on-time delivery.
