Two weeks ago, Christchurch City Council contracted Aeris Global to provide additional aeration for the Bromley WWTP ponds and all equipment has been delivered to site or is in transit.
To cater for increased plant loadings, over 400kW of aquaturbo Surface Aerators and 16 aerdisc Directional Aerators will be installed in Ponds 2A and 2A with scope to add more aerators as loadings increase further.
Following the devastating fire in 2021, which destroyed two trickling filters, Aeris Global was commissioned by council to convert two 49m diameter clarifiers to high-energy, aerobic reactors using 600kW of aquaturbo Surface Aerators. The conversion was a resounding success and remains a project Aeris is extremely proud of considering the seemingly impossible timeframe of 13-weeks, which was achieved!
Aeris Global chose not to be involved in the supply of aerators for Pond 1.
