Disaster struck Christchurch City Council’s Bromley WWTP in November of 2021 when fire destroyed two trickling filters.
As an interim emergency response council elected to convert two of their 49m diameter clarifiers to high-energy, aerobic reactors and awarded the contract to Aeris Global.
Aeris Global installed 600kW of aquaturbo® AER-AS Floating Surface Aerators consisting of four 75kW units in each clarifier.
The system was commissioned in March 2022 and has not missed a beat since, with the ultra-reliable aquaturbo® aerators achieving the distinction of 100% availability for duty.
